How can you become a leader or achieve great things if you don’t first believe in yourself or your dreams? The answer – you can’t. For many people in our community – young and old – they don’t believe they can think beyond what life has presented to them.
We begin each program at LBA Foundation by having our participants each develop their Statement of Purpose.
We ask them:
- What do you like to do?
- What do you want to do?
- What is your dream?
Once we identify the participant’s Statement of Purpose, we identify what program or programs will best help the individual succeed. This may include seeking out additional groups in the community to partner with to give our participants real-life experience in their areas of interest identified in the Statement of Purpose. We work with each individual to help them realize their dreams. We believe you can be anything you want to be if you are willing to work for it.
Our programs are broken into two areas:
- Healthy Lifestyles
This program brings together nutrition, fresh food and physical fitness and how it contributes to each individual’s ability to be successful. Healthy living allows people to reach their full potential.
- CR Dreams
A program that combines development of leadership skills and education with experiences designed to grow each participant’s belief in themselves.
Our goal is to make all of our participants happy and healthy contributing members of society. Success is defined by the individual not society. Some of our participants may go onto college or post-graduate work, others may be entrepreneurs and others may find their passion in an apprenticeship in the trades. What matters most is that each person that walks through our doors leaves with a renewed passion for themselves and an understanding that each of us is an important part of our community.
